We slept till 9:30. Of course, I was up at 5 and went to the recliner, and Mom said she was up at 6 to go potty. But we went back to sleep and got our rest!
Mother's leg has gone down some more, praise God. The ankle is near normal and the top of her foot is down some too. The rest of the leg is as near normal as it is going to get.
We are both dressed, just finished breakfast of cereal, and ready for the Home Health Care nurse to come around 11 a.m.
Mom took her first coumadin pill this morning since she left the hospital on Friday. The nurse is going to take blood to test the thinness of her blood. And she will take it again Wednesday.
Probably this afternoon she and I will strip down (Woohoo!! two lovely n-a-k-e-d women!) and take a shower in my big walk-in shower. We have a used shower stool which I will try out before I put her on it. We also could use the potty chair without the pot for her to sit in.
I intended to get a long hose but we will just have to make do.
Mom is in good spirits and I hope I do as well when I am 89 pushing 90. (Her birthday is Feb. 26.)
